1、About the Singapore International Cultural Festival
The Singapore International Cultural Festival is supported by the Singapore Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth and the Singapore Ministry of Education. It is organized by the Singapore International Cultural Festival Organizing Committee and hosted by the Singapore Youth Cultural and Arts Center.
"The Golden Orchid Film Award" at the Singapore International Cultural Festival is a significant event of cross-cultural exchange, aiming to showcase outstanding films from around the world, with a special focus on promoting and displaying films from Southeast Asia and Chinese-language films. As one of the important cultural events in Southeast Asia, it serves as a bridge for audiences from Southeast Asia and around the world, promoting mutual understanding and exchange among different cultures.
The 2024 Singapore International Cultural Festival will be held in late July 2024 in Singapore, coinciding with the selection for "The Golden Orchid Film Award".
2、Entry Requirements:
- A feature or animated film with a duration of no less than 70 minutes.
- The duration of the documentary film shall not be less than 60 minutes.
- Films must have been completed after January 1, 2023.
- All films must be subtitled in Chinese (Mandatory) or English.
- Video files are limited to MOV or MP4 formats, and the format must be 1920 * 1980 or higher.
- The total file size does not exceed 5GB.
3、 Registration Method:
- Download and fill in the entry form truthfully, and send it to the designated email of the organizing committee（

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ）. - Registration materials include: entry form, full-length film, trailer, copy of the business license of the applicant, national film public screening permit (if any), poster, 8 stills, authorization letter from the copyright holder for participation in the competition, introduction of the main creators, etc.
- The entry materials can be summarized and stored on Google Drive, Baidu Cloud (Mainland China), or other online platforms, and the access link should be sent to the designated email of the organizing committee (an encrypted link should be accompanied by a password, please ensure that the link and password are valid until no earlier than September 30, 2024, and there is no limit on the number of views).
- Registration period: From now until June 30, 2024.
4、 Awards:
"The Golden OrchidFilm Award" for the Singapore International Cultural Festival sets the following awards:
- Best Film Award
- Best Ethnic Culture Film Award
- Best Documentary Award
- Best Children's Film Award
- Best Screenplay Award
- Best Director Award
5、 Notes:
- Participants must ensure that the submitted project information is true and legal, and bear corresponding legal responsibilities for any economic disputes arising from false information.
- Participants should confirm that they have the complete copyright ownership of their works. The organizing committee does not bear any legal responsibilities arising from disputes over portrait rights, reputation rights, privacy rights, copyrights, trademark rights, etc., and the legal responsibilities shall be borne by the participants themselves.
- The film festival is notresponsible for the loss or damage of participating works during the transmission process, or for any loss, error, or damage of any participating materials caused by irresistible factors.
- Please fill in the information on the entry form item by item and correctly. The registrant shall bear the relevant responsibilities for any errors or omissions in the registration information.
- After the list of winners is confirmed, winning notices will be sent to the winners. If there is no confirmation or reply after the award notification is sent out, it will be considered as automatic abandonment.
- Applications submitted after the deadline will not be eligible for participation, and registered films cannot be withdrawn from the competition.
- All registration materials, whether shortlisted or not, will not be returned.
- The applicant guarantees that the content involved in the application materials is true and valid, the copies are consistent with the original, and bears all responsibilities for all consequences caused by false application materials. Individual’s participants require authorization from the film copyright owner (producer).
- Participants and participating units are required to provide complete and valid intellectual property rights. Any copyright disputes shall be resolved by the applicant, and have nothing to do with “The Golden Orchid Film Award at the Singapore International Film Festival”.
- The organizing committee of the competition has the final interpretation right on the relevant matters of this competition.
