Mr Edwin Tong, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth
SYCA invite :
As someone who has called Singapore home for many years, I am excited to extend a heartfelt invitation to you. My journey has been one of continuous growth, from my initial years of cultural immersion to the recent milestone of obtaining permanent residency and graduating with a Master's in Public Policy from the LKY School of Public Policy. It has been a humbling experience and I am deeply grateful for the opportunities vibrant Singapore has afforded me. Now, as my family eagerly anticipates the arrival of a newborn, I’m reminded of the profound importance of community and connection. It is with this spirit in mind that we inviting you to join us in supporting the Singapore International Cultural Festival.
This biennial event, initiated in 2013, has become a platform for fostering youth cultural exchange between Singapore and China. Organised by the Singapore Youth Cultural and Arts Centre, it hosts large-scale competitions in culture, sports, and arts, attracting nearly 10,000 participants from over 50 countries and regions. Since 2017, the festival has soared to new heights of influence and engagement. This year, amidst the celebration of cultural diversity, the organizing committee and us have decided to dedicate ourselves to a larger cause: Uplifting the Community. The net proceeds of the upcoming 6th Singapore International Culture Festival Award Dinner, will be donated to The Business Times Budding Artists Fund, The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund, and New Hope Community Services and it will be held at the Summer Garden Restaurant, SAFRA Mount Faber on Sunday, 28th July 2024.
We are honoured to announce that Mr Edwin Tong, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, and Second Minister for Law, will be our Guest-of-Honour for the evening. We invite you to consider purchasing a table at this meaningful event, with dinner table tiers of $5,000, $3,000, $1,500, or $300 per seat. Your generous contribution will not only secure you a place at a night of cultural celebration and networking but also showcase your dedication to shaping our community’s future. Every donation directly impacts the lives of those in need, providing essential resources and opportunities to underprivileged children, youths, and the extended communities we care about.
Your support at this event will resonate far beyond the night itself. It is an investment in the future, ensuring that the arts and cultural exchange continue to thrive while directly benefiting those in our community who need it most. Together, we can create meaningful change and foster a more inclusive and supportive community for all. Your participation in this event will not only leave a lasting impression but will also contribute to a brighter future for those in need. Enclosed is the reply form for your kind consideration. Your contribution will catalyse positive transformations in the lives of the disadvantaged in our community. Please feel free to contact Ruizhe at 92770666 should you have any queries. Thank you and we look forward to your positive reply.
Yours sincerely
